This skirt is made from vintage fabric, I believe from the 40s. The flowers are painted on, and the fabric is a near photo neutral grey, and that makes the flowers pop!

 
I used the skirt part from one of my patterns, and just added a band and a zipper on the side. It will wear well in the summer.
