This pattern is only 5 pieces, but as with most undergarments (my guess is because they actually touch the skin) a lot of reinforcement sewing is built in. I just did flat felled seams on all the seams. The pattern called for it, and it really does finish the look.

I just rolled the hem on the shorts for ease, and to hide my overlocking. I dont know, it looks cooler without the modern cheats showing.

The crotch was challenging, but it turned out sucessful. Im kinda proud, with it being my first one and all. The instructions were very good, so that helped a lot.

The flat felled seam beneath the opening was crazy! I had to undo a couple of inches because I was not happy with the stitch width.

There is a little divot curve in the back seat of the pants that give the seat that bagginess. Its pretty cool, because it sort of sculpts the garment.
As with everything, the buttons are my favorite part. I didnt want 'girlie' buttons on this, so I thought what would be the buttons men would have used? I do have some underwear buttons for men's garments, they are rubber, but black, and I wanted something a bit lighter. MOTHER OF PEARL!! They are always on men's shirts, why not on their skivvies!
