This pattern is only 5 pieces, but as with most undergarments (my guess is because they actually touch the skin) a lot of reinforcement sewing is built in. I just did flat felled seams on all the seams. The pattern called for it, and it really does finish the look. I just rolled the hem on the shorts for ease, and to hide my overlocking. I dont know, it looks cooler without the modern cheats showing. |

The crotch was challenging, but it turned out sucessful. Im kinda proud, with it being my first one and all. The instructions were very good, so that helped a lot. The flat felled seam beneath the opening was crazy! I had to undo a couple of inches because I was not happy with the stitch width. |

There is a little divot curve in the back seat of the pants that give the seat that bagginess. Its pretty cool, because it sort of sculpts the garment. |

As with everything, the buttons are my favorite part. I didnt want 'girlie' buttons on this, so I thought what would be the buttons men would have used? I do have some underwear buttons for men's garments, they are rubber, but black, and I wanted something a bit lighter. MOTHER OF PEARL!! They are always on men's shirts, why not on their skivvies! |
