This book had been reprinted many times, I have the '41 version. A great basic teaching manual full of tricks and helpful tips on the eras fashions.

This booklet has opened my eyes to a lot of things. Its basically a booklet on how to alter patterns and clothes you already own, in order to create new styles. The sections on patterns are of particular interest to me, specially because I have such a hard tim finding patterns in my size.

The altering is so relevant, because Ive been told by so many pattern collectors, "Why alter a pattern, dosent that defeat the purpose of having a pattern?" NO!! Being creative in making clothes is not just having the right pattern, its about making what you want, with what you have available.
