This dress has the skirt from the Pictorial Pattern, the bodice from the simplicity, and the sleeves from the McCall patterns above. Its made of cotton, so its light, but long sleeved from cooler weather.

What I really changed here was the bodice. From the pattern, I left off that center piece, and that horrid collar. I created my own pleated piece of fabric, and also, suing the collar from the McCall pattern, I created a piece of facing for the pleats, and made a normal collar.

I used 3 glass buttons for decoration more than closure. The cuff buttons are backed with a backing button that fastens into the button hole of the cuff. I did it that way to create less bulk, and make the decorative buttons look like they were sitting on top of the cuff. The top button near the neck is also for decoration. There are two snap fasteners beneath the pleat.
